I use a Slingbox Pro and use pretty much generic component cables to go from the HD connect and to the TV.

They are probably 3 ft connections at most. I have heard different stories about how the shorter the length, the less you need quality cables.

Would I benefit from Monster cables for my Slingbox?

You could benefit over the cheapo cables that come in the box, but Slingbox reencodes video at a variable rate depending on your connection. I've noticed improvement using nice cables on my Slingbox when viewing over LAN, but honestly couldn't tell much difference over WAN. Give them a try and find out. Never hurts.
