Rumor has it that Monster Cable will offer iPhone-ready adapters to hook standard headphones to the iPhone. Anyone else hear about this and have an idea of eta?

Seriously though, why did Apple make it so you can't plug in any headphones but their own? Why should we all have to buy adapters to use something that SHOULD work on an MP3 player? Boo, Apple. Boo.
