I've owned my iCarPlay for about 9 months and it's been deteriorating over the last 3-4. First the LED display became very dim, now the entire device (charger, display, FM broadcaster) does not work. Anyone else have any experience with a broken and/or defective unit? Any ideas about how to repair?

Thanks in advance.

hm, I don't have an iCarPlay, but the LEDs going dim suggets a power supply issue... How does it get its power? Plugged into cigarette lighter? If it's hard wired into the car, I'd look at the wiring for loose or corroded connections.

That's what I am thinking also. The power source or the power supply for this unit is for sure the culprit unless there is an internal regulator IC or transistor that has failed. Find out from the manufacturer if you can possibly receive a schematic on this unit or how much they charge to repair these units if you have no electronic repair background. Good Luck, and let us know how you make out with this repair.
